We can find notes back from the XV. Century mentioning the magical springs of Gellért Bath. Later the Turk liked it too, since it was bigger and its water was hotter than that of of other Buda bath’s of the time.
The world famous Gellért Thermal Bath and Hotel which was built in secession style and is very much liked by foreigners was opened in 1918 and was extended with wave bath in 1927 and with bubble bath in 1934.
In the frame of the recent renovation both the indoors and the outdoors sitting pools were renewed; both got equipped with up-to-date water filtering and turning machines. Today in Gellért Thermal Bath almost all of the relevant medical services are available. It has a unit ensuring complex thermal bath services (daytime hospital) and it also has an inhalatory unit.
