THE GUARANTEE CONDITIONS OF THE PROFIDENT DENTAL CENTRE

In our work, we always strive for the perfect result, to achieve long-term, quality improvements in our patients' lives. Our focus is on the smile and the patient. Our goal is for all our clients to experience the happiness that a renewed set of teeth can bring.
However, even with the greatest care, unexpected events and complications can still occur, independent of the patient and us. This is because dental procedures, like any medical procedure, are carried out on a living organism, so biological factors, anatomical peculiarities and individual reactions can never be completely excluded.

At Profident Dental Centre, we believe that our guarantee acts as a safety net, giving our patients peace of mind outside the walls of our practice.

We pride ourselves on our responsible and careful approach, which means that warranty cases are rare, and on our fair and straightforward communication: all details of terms and conditions are presented clearly and in a way that is easy to understand.

What does our guarantee mean?

Under the conditions listed below, Profident Dental Centre guarantees (free of charge repair or replacement) in all cases where a problem occurs due to defective materials or negligence in workmanship. We are able to fulfil our guarantee obligation if the patient complies with the conditions of our guarantee.

Which treatments are covered by our guarantee conditions?

Our dentistry guarantees the work carried out as follows:

Implants5 yearsIn the event of implant loss within 5 years of implant placement, Profident Dental Centre will cover the cost of replacement, provided that the patient has complied with the guarantee conditions listed below. Please note that in the case of prosthesis failure due to implant loss after 3 years of treatment, only the implants are covered by the guarantee.  
Implant (screw only)for life (manufacturer's commitment)The implant systems we use come with a lifetime guarantee from the manufacturer, which means that the implant will be replaced free of charge under warranty in case of material defects (damage, breakage). This guarantee does not cover abutments and implant prostheses (crowns, bridges).
Implants placed elsewhereNo guarantee for the implantImplants placed by other dentists are not guaranteed. If we do prosthetic work (crowns, bridges) on such implants, the guarantee only covers the fixed replacement (e.g. damage to the replacement, ceramic chipping). Our guarantee does not cover the case where the loss of the foreign implant makes it necessary to re-produce the fixed replacement.

The guarantee comes into force when the treatment is carried out and is valid until the end of the specified guarantee period. For example, if an implantation with a 5-year guarantee is completed on 01/01/2023, the guarantee is valid until 01/01/2028 - provided the patient meets all the criteria set out below.

General guarantee conditions

In order for the guarantee to remain valid for the periods indicated above, patients must comply with the following conditions:

- Annual check

The patient must attend the required annual check-up. The examination is subject to a fee!

- Dental plaque removal

The patient must have a professional dental hygiene treatment at least once a year (or as often as your dentist orders).

- General oral hygiene

Good oral hygiene is key to preventing infection and maintaining healthy gums, so patients should follow a strict oral care routine.

IMPORTANT!

Our dentist reserves the right to reduce or cancel the guarantee in certain cases. The Dentistry is exempt from its warranty obligations:

  • if the patient fails to attend the required check-ups and oral hygiene treatments
  • if the patient neglects general oral hygiene
  • if the patient does not follow the recommendations and instructions of his/her doctor
  • if the problem is caused by improper use (e.g. extreme overloading of prostheses, implants)
  • if the prosthesis is damaged, broken, or damaged by chemical exposure (chemicals) due to an accident, sports, etc.
  • if gum recession occurs, bone loss occurs
  • in the presence of certain diseases or conditions that affect the health of the oral cavity (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, osteoporosis, radiation, chemotherapy, immunodeficiency, rheumatoid arthritis)
  • if the patient has a significant weight loss or weight gain in a short period of time, or if the patient is malnourished
  • if the patient has a harmful addiction (heavy smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, drug use) or is taking hormone therapy
  • if the patient has psychological problems, mental illness
  • if there is a fracture in the intrinsic dental pulp under the crown/bridge
  • if the patient, who is prone to bruxism (teeth grinding at night) and clenching, does not wear the bite splint prescribed by the doctor while sleeping and the dental work is damaged as a result
  • if a tooth with a crown/bridge later requires root canal treatment or other complications occur, the cause of which was not revealed by the X-ray taken at the time of the assessment and was therefore not foreseeable or suspected
  • if the patient does not settle the costs of the interventions we carry out

What to do if there is a problem?

Patients should contact us immediately, but no later than 48 hours after the onset of complaints and make an appointment with their doctor so that we can offer a solution to the problem as soon as possible.

If the patient entrusts the corrective treatment to other dental professionals without consulting us, he/she risks losing the guarantee!
