Dr. Domonkos Barki
Dentist
He graduated in dentistry from the University of Pécs in 2019. From the first moment prosthetics attracted him most because it is a complex area, full of challenges.
After his university years, he soon found professional challenges, as he was immediately drawn into public care. It was a deep dive and a great opportunity to gain experience and a solid foundation.
He arrived at Profident in autumn 2023. He found a supportive and welcoming environment, where everything is in place to give a real boost to a young doctor's career: a wide range of careers, high quality equipment, digital tools, excellent colleagues, effective professional collaboration and exchange of experience.
It performs a large number of conservative procedures and even more complex prosthetic interventions. Smaller oral surgery treatments, tooth extractions, root canal treatments are also included in the treatment palette. In the future, he would like to focus on implant prosthodontic procedures (implant-supported tooth replacements).
He takes the patient's needs into account as much as possible, but does not compromise professionally. He says that what he would do for his closest family members, he can only recommend to his patients with confidence.
If someone comes to him with fears, he will be patient. If you feel you can't solve the patient distress, you may not treat them the first time, or you may only perform minor interventions; but a meeting that ends this way is not in vain either, as it serves to build trust, which makes it easier to overcome major obstacles the next time.
The satisfaction and happiness of the patients is rewarding, and this is true not only for more complex procedures, full mouth rehabilitation, but also for the smallest treatments.
What he considers a true miracle of his profession is that today, for practically any patient - even if they come with a particularly bad denture or other complicating circumstance - it is possible to find a way to treat them, rehabilitate their teeth, and renew their smile.
He played water polo competitively for years from the age of 12, and the game remained in his life even during his years in Pécs, when he was a member of the university team. Thanks to his athletic background, he is determined, tenacious and, of course, an excellent team player. As he puts it, it is natural for him to work with others, to collaborate for a common goal - which, as a dentist, is to improve people's quality of life.
